Eschol Park is located 60 kilometres south-west of the centre of Sydney, in the City of Campbelltown local government area. The region was traditionally home to the Tharawal people, but in 1805 John Macarthur was granted 5,000 acres of land for cattle raising here. Cattle remained the main residents until the 1970s, when the suburb was first proposed.
