Twelve kms west from the city centre in Sydney is the suburb of Wareemba. Wareemba, which sits on the east of Hen and Chicken Bay, is a small suburb in the City of Canada Bay. The suburb’s name, "Wareemba", is an Aboriginal word meaning "the place where sweet water meets salt water".
